Due to internal promotion and volume of business, we urgently need an additional Content Developer / Event Producer. 

Key experience / work areas of the role:

Ideally we are looking for somebody to “train up and learn on the job”, as we don't expect to find the mix of skills and experience we need. However, if you have some experience or understanding of any of the following it will help your application:

  • LIVE Web Conferencing (technologies and hosting) - Adobe Connect, Webex, GotoMeeting, Lync,
  • Presentation (or Learning ) content design and creation - any tool!
  • A/V setup and operation (cameras, mixers, streamers, sound desks, cabling etc)

Ability and desire to learn quickly

The applicant must have strong ability and desire to learn new software applications, in particular content creation and presentation tools such as Powerpoint, Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Connect, premiere pro, etc.

We will provide time to learn, and some training, but confidence to self teach and learn on the job is a must have.

Cool and confident for event “hosting”

Ability to problem-solve under pressure, ie, cope with being the person who resolves problems in a “on-air” situation.’
English language (written and verbal) to mother tongue level.
Professional and confident vocally - you will be often “on air” via microphone when hosting client events.

If you dislike presenting / speaking to an audience, this is not the role for you!

Team Player

We are a small company, with strong individuals and characters, but, we are very much a team.
You must be a team player who is prepared to take ownership of your own client projects, but know when and how to involve your team mates to get the best results for our clients.

Client facing / presentable

You must be “client facing” and have a great customer service attitude.
We work with many different types of organisation, but in this role you will be mainly working with corporate clients, with daily client contact both remotely using online sessions, and on occasionally on client sites.

Self disciplined

This job is predominantly home-based, so self-motivation and discipline is a must. We will be asking you to demonstrate this.
You'll be providing directed support to online and on-site events teams as needed, as well as managing your own workload at home.

Working from home sounds like heaven, but it does not suit everybody!

An eye for design

An understanding of design is very desirable!
Experience presenting complex concepts in a clear and elegant manner using a range of tools is key to our work.

Clear communicator

It is important that you can communicate ideas and concepts clearly, and can apply this experience to ActiveC and our client’s aims.’

Web design?

Any website design or creation skills would be a bonus.

Package: neg. £ pa salary (depending upon experience)
